LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE
Chui Mamas is governed by a board of trustees comprised of both community members and individuals from various backgrounds who have a passion for empowering and advocating the women of Chui Mamas.
The Board of Trustees
The board of trustees is composed of well-wishers who are professionals in various field. The role of the board is to govern the activities of the group, connectors to partners, fundraising and advocates for the group members.
The Advisory Committee
This committee is comprised of local leaders and community elders. They play the crucial role of supporting the activities of Chui Mamas, providing required resources such as land, custodians of the community’s interests and ensuring that any harmful practices are addressed, and connectors to leaders within and beyond the community.
The Executive Committee
This is a committee comprised of:
a) Chairlady
b) Vice Chair lady
c) Secretary
d) Treasurer
e) Organizing secretary.
Each of the members represents one of the five villages that Chui Mamas covers, and are elected at the Umbrella committee level.
The Umbrella Committee
This committee is composed of the leaders of each group, three from every group. With the current twenty groups, the committee is comprised of sixty members.It is from this committee that the Executive Committee is elected.
Group committees
Each group has three members – A Chair person, Secretary and Treasurer. They belong to the various geographies and manage issues specific to the group that they represent. They act as the linkage and advocates to the bigger group, on matters affecting their members.

Friends of Chui Mamas
These will be individual members of society who are willing to support Chui Mamas in their goals. They can be advocates, financiers or people who help Chui Mamas access networks that will enable achievement of the objectives.
